Cuddle Corn bags are made from whole kernel corn that has been thoroughly cleaned and put under high heat. The corn is then placed into six bag sizes, all made from 100% cotton. Cuddle Corn can be heated in the microwave, or frozen in the freezer and used as an alternative heating pad or ice pack. All of the fabrics we use are high grade 100% cotton, many of which are designer patterns.  The cotton is extremely sturdy and can be heated or frozen over and over.

How Do You Clean Your Cuddle Corn?

Many customers ask 'How do I clean my Cuddle Corn?'  The answer is, spot clean the fabric. Move all of the corn away from the dirty spot, and use a little warm water. Stains will remove easily from the 100% cotton fabric. Let the area air dry. You never want to get the corn wet. Cuddle Corn is a fabulous product.  I have people tell me this every day.  A question customers ask a lot is 'Why does corn work better than rice?'  I actually looked into rice (as well as other fillers) when I started the company.  Rice is an extremely small grain - therefore the heat cannot be retained for very long. Corn, being a larger grain, holds the heat up to 3 times longer! Rice disintegrates over time and turns to a powder.  Corn is a hard kernel and will not disintegrate.  Rice can scorch and get a very foul odor.  Corn will always smell like corn.  You can freeze corn as well.  Therefore, corn is the best filler.   Remember Cuddle Corn has six sizes to choose from - one for every part of your body, and for every ache and pain!

Good afternoon Cuddle Corn lovers! I wanted to answer a question that I get asked a lot from customers. "Why doesn't the corn pop?" Well...the simplest answer is that it is not popcorn! We use whole kernel field corn, not popcorn.  Whole kernel corn is generally known as deer corn or field corn.  This variety of corn has an exit at the base of the kernel, allowing the moisture to escape.  Popcorn is a round kernel without an exit at the base.  The moisture builds up in the popcorn kernel....and POP!
Cuddle Corn will smell just like popcorn, but will not pop! So use your heated corn bag without hesitation, and ENJOY!

First Ice Packs and Heating Pad

The use of ice packs or heating pad has been used for soothing pain or nursing an injury for many years now.  This self-treatment is an inexpensive option with very minimal to zero risk factors.

The use of ice treatment started as far back as the early 1800's when doctors numbed the injured soldiers' arms or legs.  If soldiers needed amputations, they would first numb the area with ice or snow before performing amputations out in the field.  Snow was used at times replacing the absence of ice.

It was not until 1971 that a man named Jacob Spencer, a pharmacist, patented the first heat and ice pack.  The hot and cold compress was designed with a gel inside.  He went through different design variations until it came down to the blue gel hot and cold pack.

Just as with every product or new invention, people continue to make changes to improve the clients comfort and preference.  The cold compress and microwave heating pad has many variations to make it more soothing and interesting.

The corn filled ice pack or heating pad is a great inexpensive self-treatment pads.   One of the benefits to using the corn filled heating pads is that it takes very little time to heat.  In most cases, it only takes 15-30 seconds.  We haven't mentioned the fact that corn heating pad has a soothing scent when heating.
